Our Historic Ranch
Step Back into the Old West
Settle in for nearly 100 years of vivacious history at a Wyoming dude ranch established by a Hollywood star in 1925 that has kept the Old West alive in every sense.
Feel the peace, quiet, fun, and authenticity of our ranch in the heart of the Shoshone National Forest & the Absaroka Mountains.
The Bill Cody Ranch originated as the Lazy Bar H Ranch owned by Leonard Morris, a Hollywood movie actor in the early- to mid-1900s. The original Lodge was meant to be "typical of Western life."
Today, we just make sure it bleeds Western hospitality, flexibility, and comfort.
Bill Cody Ranch is located in the Shoshone National Forest in northwestern Wyoming, just minutes from the Wapiti Valley.
The ranch is only 26 miles from Cody, Wyoming on the way to Yellowstone National Park's east gate on HWY 14-16-20.
